A free CPF API you can really test with
50 credits/month, no credit card. A CPF is Brazil's individual taxpayer ID. Ideal for an MVP and for integration. When you outgrow Free, Pro starts at R$19/month (Brazilian reais, BRL).
What the API returns
Full name, gender (M/F) and date of birth. Also nameUpper and day, month and year as separate fields.
No per-second throttling
There is no limit on requests per second: the only control is the monthly credit pool. Availability SLA: 95% on the Free plan.
No credits on Free: 403
On the Free plan (no overage), GET /cpf with a zero balance returns 403 ("Limite de créditos excedido", the API's message in Portuguese, meaning credit limit exceeded).

Frequently asked questions
How many lookups does the Free plan include?
The Free plan includes 50 credits a month. A Simple Lookup that finds the CPF (HTTP 200) costs 1 credit and a Real-Time Lookup costs 1.5 credits. A CPF that is not found (404) or has an incorrect format or check digit (400/422) does not use a credit. Credits do not roll over to the next month.
Do I need a credit card?
No. The Free plan does not require a card. You create the account at app.cpfhub.io, generate the API key and start looking up CPFs.
What happens at 0 credits?
On the Free plan (no overage), GET /cpf returns 403 with the message "Limite de créditos excedido". In batch, items with no balance are marked as skipped. On plans with overage enabled the lookup keeps going and the overage is billed in the next cycle. Details at /en/pricing.
Does the Free plan have an SLA?
Yes. The availability SLA depends on the plan: Free 95%, Pro 99%, Enterprise 99.9%. See /en/pricing. The typical Simple Lookup time is ~150 ms and the Real-Time Lookup takes about 1 second. These are typical figures, not an SLA. In the Batch Lookup, time depends on how many CPFs are in the submission, and each lookup stays in the same range as the Simple Lookup.
